One of the Epic Series race happens in Prescott's trails: Whiskey Off-Road, which offers three different distances: 15, 30 or 50 miles loops. The 50miles race is different from the 30 by adding a section in Skull Valley. This part of the course is the hardest one, as you go downhill on a ridge for 10miles, and then go back up that same road. A lot of riders feels the atltitude effects, as the start is at 1600m of elevation, and we can reach up to 2800m during the race.
Anecdote
Epic Series is a marathon race serie in the USA where the emphasis is more on having fun on your bike and challenging yourself. Even if there is a lot of money at stake, we feel less competitivness and more camaraderie.
